ME3 Coalesced Utility
The ME3 Coalesced Utility allows you to open the Coalesced.bin file that comes with Mass Effect 3. This tool should work with Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition too according to user reports. The latest version now supports editing and saving the file. The utility will make a backup of any file loaded (filename.bin.original).

Hi, I’m no programmer what so ever, I just want to fix the FOV-problem.
I’ve managed to get the FOV I want but the aiming with MB2 doesn’t really work the way I want.
I’m using fov 90 but when aiming I want it to go back to 70 and then return to 90 when I release the mb2.
I got it to change to 70 but not back to 90 when releasing.
This is the code I edited:

In other words I want the code to do 2 things on OnRelease but I don’t know the right syntax to use.
I’ve tried ” | ” and the ” , ” and also just an empty space, do you have any advice?

Can someone tell me what value i have to change in the weapon properties to make the mattock fully automatic, i’ve tried adding “bisautomatic = true” but it’s not doing a dam thing.
so i’ve done some basic editting to get the settings I want, which resulted in an increase of filzesize for me.
does your software automatically recompile the coalesced.ini? granted I still have the original, mine’s crashing with the editted file unfortunately because of the size differential.
any suggestions?

i erase this PlotUnlockConditionalID=XXXX, PlotPurchaseID[0]=XXXX, buth i erase this PlotUnlockConditionalID=XXXX in other places, where it shows alone.because:
and now i had this problems:
1 Things in store that i buy, but never disappear, like armor and other things like helmets and the inferno armor, things that i buy them, and then in the customization menu not appear at all
2 Glyph reward upgrades: this appear in the terminal in the room of liara, all this upgrades now cost 0 and i buy then, but they never disappear, and i can buy as many time i like (wel i try with just one, and just one time only, and it work) but i dont know if they are working at all
3 in the spectre requisitions terminal are items that i buy but dont make any changes like “heating unit stabilizers” i buy but i can give to the salarian who i need to give
what i did wrong? i backup the file before editing, but i did a lot editing, and will like not to do it all over.
and if i rollback it will affect when i find it, in the normal way?

I was curious if it’s possible to merge two different versions of coalesced.bin. I tried with total commander and winmerge, but they don’t decode the binary formatting, thus if i want to merge something i don’t know what specific line edit.
So how do I use this to get more credits in mp? I’ve played the crap out of the xbox version, but I just got the pc version and I’m not going to spend all of that time again to unlock my weapons, and I’ve already bought packs with real money on xbox live.

Hey man does somebody know how to disable shield gating ? in me2 it was babsorbdamageonbreak or smth like that while in this coalesced i didnt seem to find it . Perhaps this feature has been given another name ? Plz i need it badly for sniper rifles to play properly in single player . It is quite dumb not to be able to one shot a normal goon with only 1 point of shield !!!
@Andiz: Simply ramp up the damage ratio on the sniper rifles of your choice in the bioweapon.ini. OR set the “Intel” finds having the damage factor unreasonably high. Example, using Glyph’s Intel upgrade station, and when choosing to increase a weapon damage using weapon damage specific intel choices, you normally are allowed +5% increase. Change the setting in the file from 0.05 to so something like 50.00 which equates to a 5000% increase in damage. Go to biogame.ini>sxfgame>sfxpawn>player, then click on “permanentgameeffects” and you’ll see these figures.

First and foremost, THANK YOU for taking the time to create such a handy utility! The only issue I’ve noticed is that version 1.2 MAY not be completely compatible with DLC .bin files, specifically the Default_DLC_HEN_PR.bin file, which is part of the Default.sfar file ( From Ashes DLC ). I’m able to open, edit, and save the aforementioned .bin file using your utility, but when I repack the modified .bin into the Default.sfar file, EA’s servers refuse to recognize the DLC. I’m not a programmer, so this is way out of my area of expertise. Have you heard about this issue before?

My sugestion is RIGHT CLICK THE FILE “COALESED.BIN”, and then Uncheck the attributes “READ ONLY” then click OK or APPLY. You can’t edit the file when the read only is on. After that you can open it with the ME3coalesed software. Version 1.2 is better. Have a nice editing. ๐

I’m trying to modify the ME2 romance options for my ME3 save.
On my 1st play through I played with Femshep, with an ME2 save imported from MassEffect2Saves.com (because I originally played ME1&2 on my Xbox, while I’m playing ME3 on my PC). The romance options were Liara (me1) and Garrus (me2) because that mirrored my actual selection. After completing my first playthrough I decided for my second playthrough for Shep to be a dude. Using Gibbed’s Save game editor I created a new career from my FemShep save, then altered the gender. Everything seemed fine.

Then, once Garrus rejoins the team and I talk with him on the Normandy, Shep’s dialog goes silent with subtitles from FemShep, and Garrus’ dialog is identical for the FemShep romance-reunion-breakup.

What can I do to change this? Gibbed doesn’t seem to delve that deep, and after checking out their FAQ page I was directed to http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=zv8mxcxs . There’s a line of code in the Coalesced that references the romance with Garrus, but I’m not sure if it’s a universal setting because it doesn’t seem to differ from the other character entries in terms of a true or false setting for my Shep.

If you can’t open the coalesed.bin, you maybe haven’t upgrade your framework.net to 4.0. Upgrade your framework4.0, and then right click to bring the file properties to uncheck read only file coalesed.bin in the folder /biogame/cookedPCconsole and then apply or ok. I was having the same error for the first time. Some said that I have to run admin to get the editor software to open. And I did all that. I don’t know which one it works but it works. (sigh)
And where do I find player health and shield hitpoints in coalesed.bin?
And what can I edit to change weapon like argus, mattock, valkrye to burst like automatic fire revenant?
How to put additional biotic skills on Normandy Med Bay? (I wish there are more like Slam, Throw, Singularity although I choose to become Soldier)

Right Click on Coalesced.exe and select “Run as Administrator”

I have inputted the key bindings as required but now I am unsure how to activate. When I type in God in the console, it doesn’t seem to work . I have typed ( Name=”NumPadNine”, Command=”God” ) in the coalesced.bin utility, does this mean I am to open the console with the tilde key and press the keypad 9 rather than typing god?
